SWAGLOG is a community-driven archive of band tees — think Discogs, but for shirts. You can browse the catalogue, track what you own, build a wishlist of holy grails you're hunting for, and contribute new listings.

You need an account to submit tees, mark items as owned or wanted, propose edits, or upload photos. Browsing the catalogue is open to everyone once logged in.

Click the PROFILE button in the top-right corner. Set your display name — this is how you'll appear in the edit history and team panel. If you don't set one, your email address will be shown instead.

Use the search bar on the Browse page. You can search by band name, tour name, year, or genre. The genre filter chips below the search bar let you narrow results to a specific genre.

COMMON — Widely available, often reprinted or easy to find.

RARE — Original pressings with limited quantities, tour-only runs, or items that rarely surface.

HOLY GRAIL — The rarest of the rare. Few confirmed originals exist. If you own one, you're already a legend.

Click any tee card to open the detail modal. You'll see all three photo slots (front, back, label), full specs, notes, and the edit history for that listing.

Click the + OWN button on any tee card or the ADD TO COLLECTION button inside the detail modal. It will appear in your MY STASH page under the Collection tab.

Click ♡ WANT on any tee you're hunting for. Tees you already own can't be added to the wishlist. Your wishlist lives in MY STASH under the Wishlist tab.

The four stats show how many tees you've collected, how many are on your wishlist, how many Holy Grails you own, and how many different genres are represented in your collection.

Go to the + SUBMIT page. Select the band (or add a new one), choose a tour if applicable, fill in the year, genre, colour, print style, and rarity. You can upload up to three photos — front, back, and label. Hit SUBMIT TO ARCHIVE. Your submission will be reviewed by an admin before going live.

On the Submit page, type the band name in the band search field and click + NEW BAND. Fill in the details and submit. The band will go into a pending queue and will be approved by an admin before it's available to select.

Yes — on the Submit page, click + SUGGEST next to the Genre or Print Style fields, or + SUGGEST A COLOUR below the colour swatches. Your suggestion goes to an admin for review. For colours, you can optionally include a hex code so your swatch shows the correct colour.

Open the listing and click EDIT in the modal footer. Only fill in the fields you want to change, and add a mandatory reason explaining your edit. Your proposal will be reviewed by an admin — the original listing stays live until approved.

Open the listing modal. Hover over any of the three photo slots (Front / Back / Label) and click to upload. Empty slots can be filled freely. Replacing an existing photo requires a change note explaining why. Photos are limited to JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF and must be under 5MB.

Yes — open the listing and click DELETE. You'll be asked to provide a reason. Your request goes to an admin queue for review. Admins can approve the deletion or reject the request.

Open any listing modal and click VIEW EDIT HISTORY below the notes. This shows all approved changes — what was changed, a summary, and the date.

Moderators can approve or reject everything in the admin queue — new tee submissions, edits, bands, tours, deletion requests, and vocabulary suggestions (genres, colours, print styles). Moderators cannot manage the team or promote other users.

Click the red ADMIN button in the nav bar — it's only visible to you and other admins. The Queue tab shows all pending items grouped by type. The badge number shows the total pending count.

In the Queue tab under PENDING TEES, review the band, tour, year, and rarity. Click APPROVE to publish it to the catalogue immediately. Click REJECT to discard it.

Under PENDING EDITS, each item shows a diff — the before value in red with a strikethrough, the proposed value in yellow. Review the change and the listing it applies to, then approve or reject. Approving applies the change to the live listing immediately and logs it to the edit history.

Under DELETION REQUESTS, you'll see the listing name and the user's reason. Click DELETE to permanently remove the listing, or REJECT to keep it live. Deletion is irreversible — check carefully before approving.

For genres — check it's not a duplicate or near-duplicate of something that already exists (e.g. "Heavy Metal" vs "Metal"). For colours — check the hex code looks right if provided. For print styles — make sure the name is specific and useful. When in doubt, reject with a note and ask the user to resubmit more precisely.

A good submission has: the correct band and tour linked (not just typed in), an accurate year, correct genre and rarity, meaningful notes with provenance or authentication details, and ideally at least a front photo. Reject submissions that are clearly spam, duplicates, or missing critical info.

Reject if: the submission is a clear duplicate of an existing listing, the information is obviously wrong, the reason for an edit is vague or unhelpful, a deletion request lacks a legitimate reason, or a suggestion would create clutter in the vocabulary tables.

Admins can manage the team — promote users to moderator and revoke moderator access. Admins also bypass the approval queue entirely: their own tee submissions, band additions, and tour additions go live immediately without review.

Yes — admins can delete any listing immediately from the listing modal by clicking DELETE. An optional reason can be logged. This bypasses the deletion request queue entirely.

Go to the ADMIN page and click the MODERATORS tab. Enter the email address of the user you want to promote — they must already have a SWAGLOG account. Click + ADD MODERATOR. They'll have access to the admin queue immediately on their next page load.

On the Moderators tab, find the team member and click REVOKE. Their access is removed immediately. The admin role cannot be revoked from this panel — that requires a direct database change.

Yes — additional admins can be added directly in the Supabase database by inserting a row into the user_roles table with role = 'admin'. This is intentionally kept out of the UI to prevent accidental privilege escalation.

All data lives in a Supabase Postgres database. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage in the tee-images bucket. Row-level security policies control who can read and write each table.
